Damp Reports in Buildings

Damp problems affect many thousands of UK properties each year. For the many homes and properties affected by damp, more often than not, unless some form of remedial damp control or treatment is applied these damp issues tend to gradually get worse over time. At Net Zero we are confident we are able to find resolutions to damp in properties and offer inhouse solutions.

There are many solutions in order to fix Damp and Condensation but the problem may be as simple as opening a window or installing simple technology like an extractor fan to solve it.

Types of Damp Issues affecting
our households

Condensation -

Most Common form of damp in the UK.
Condensation occurs when warm air, containing water vapour, comes into contact with a cool surface which has a temperature below the dew point of the water vapour. This causes the water vapour to cool and condense, forming tiny droplets which we refer to as condensation.

Penetrating Damp -

Penetrating damp is the result of water infiltration through an external wall and into the property.

Rising Damp-

Rising damp is the name given to the process of external ground water being drawn up through brickwork by what is known as capillary action.
